Funeral services for Mrs. Peggy Ruth Privitt, age 94, will be held at 1 PM on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, in the Shelton-Hunt Funeral Home Chapel with Richard Holloman and Mark Hodge officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 5 PM until 7 PM and Tuesday from noon until service time.
Mrs. Privitt, a retired employee of J. Hungerford Smith and member of the First Assembly of God Church, passed away on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at her home.
She was preceded in death by her husbands, Harold Johnson, J.L. Connell and Earl Privitt; two sisters and seven brothers.
Mrs. Privitt is survived by two daughters, Marsha Eaton and Dianne Carnell; two sons, Randy Johnson and Hal (Tonya) Johnson; thirteen grandchildren, twenty three great grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.
