  PFC Tyler C GregoryPFC Tyler C. Gregory was born March 30, 2000 in Guntersville, AL and enlisted in the United States Army on January 16, 2024, as a 92F Petroleum Supply Specialist. He completed his Basic Combat Training at Fort Jackson and advanced individual training at Fort Gregg-Adams before reporting to his first duty station at Fort Carson, Colorado.

On August 14, 2024 he was assigned to India Forward Support Company, 1st Battalion, 38th Infantry Regiment, where he quickly distinguished himself as a dedicated fueler and driver, whose technical skill and steady work ethic directly supported unit readiness.

Gregory deployed with the Rock Battalion to South Korea on June 2, 2025, and played a key role in sustaining combat power during KRF 16. His awards include the Korean Defense Medal, Army Service Ribbon, Overseas Service Ribbon, and the Army Achievement Medal.

He is survived by his parents, Dylan and Amanda Gregory; sister, Reese Gregory; daughter, Avery Gregory. He was the grandson of Jerry and Bonnie Gregory and the late Naomi Gregory, and Bill and Susan Simpson, and Glenn Lamar Thrash, Jr.

Before joining the army Tyler was a mycologist, entrepreneur to Lakeside Mushrooms in Guntersville, AL. Tyler loved the outdoors since a young boy. You could always find him camping, hiking, fishing, or liking for the next adventure. He will be greatly missed.

Funeral Service will be Monday, April 13, 2026 at 2:00 PM at Guntersville Memorial Chapel. The family will receive friends, at Guntersville Memorial Chapel, Monday from 11:00 AM until service time at 2:00 PM. Burial will take place at Brookwood Cemetery.
