Mrs. Mary Syble WilbanksMary Syble Hall Wilbanks was born in 1949 to Walter and Opal (Dupree) Hall. She always enjoyed fixing hair growing up. She graduated in 1968 and continued her career in styling and fixing hair. She married William Gary Wilbanks in 1970. In 1972, her first child, Eric Brent Wilbanks, was born. In 1975, she had their second child, Amy Nicole Wilbanks. Syble opened up her own shop as a beautician sometime between 1972 and 1975, where she owned her own business until retiring around 2007. Not only was Syble a beautician, she was also an artist, where she won many ribbons at the fair with her paintings. She was very crafty and loved to take someone’s junk and make it a treasure.

Syble is proceeded in death by her father, Walter Hall; her mother, Opal May Dupree Hall; Great-granddaughter Bia Nicole Hammonds; sister, Audrey Marie Hall Ewing; in-laws, Orbie & Lula Wilbanks; and brother-in-law, Ed Ewing.

Syble leaves behind to cherish her memories, her husband, William Gary Wilbanks; two children, Eric (Becca) Wilbanks, and Amy (Jarred) Grentz; seven grandchildren, Joshua, Jordan, Madison, Marlee, Hayden, Brock, Maya; five great-grandchildren, Brennan, Josi, Liam, Layton, and Rynlie; brothers, Walter Gary Hall, and Ricky (Rhonda) Hall; one Aunt Mable Dupree Hall; and many nieces, nephews, and a host of cousins.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at the Scottsboro Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be conducted on Friday, April 10, 2026 at 11:00 A.M. at the Scottsboro Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Scott Cooley officiating. Burial will follow in the Greenhaven Memorial Gardens in Henagar, Alabama.
