Mrs. Carol "Jane" EvansMs. Carol “Jane” Evans, age 86, of Lexington, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on March 28, 2026, in her hometown.
She was born on October 9, 1939, in Lexington, Tennessee, to the late Felix Earl Jones and Willie Martin Jones. Jane lived a full and vibrant life rooted in family, adventure, and the simple joys that brought her happiness.
In 1960, she married the love of her life, Neal Evans, who preceded her in death in 2017. For 57 years, together they built a life filled with shared memories, devotion, travel, friendships, and family.
She had a lively personality and a flair for fun. Jane especially loved the color pink, shopping, jewelry, and the beach. True to her nature, she was never much of a morning person, preferring to take her time easing into the day.
Jane will be remembered for her spirited nature, her love of life, and the special joy she brought to those who knew her.
Survivors include two nephews, Tony Kee (Debbie) and Greg Jones (Amy); and her nieces, Beth Reed (Ken), Tara Spain, and the two nieces who held the place of daughters in her heart, Angela Arnold (Kenny) and Dana Hinson (Greg).
She was also preceded in death by her two brothers, Harold Jones and Joe Jones and her two sisters, Earlene Kee and Barbara Jones.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2 PM, Wednesday, April 1, 2026 in the chapel of Pafford Funeral Home in Lexington. Interment will follow in Lexington Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, 4 – 7 PM and on Wednesday, 12 – 2 PM.
