William Rayburn “Rabbit” Swanson, 84, passed away March 25, 2026, in Batesville. Rayburn was one of 20 children born January 28, 1942, in Buckhorn, MS, to Early and Ludie Swanson. He enjoyed fishing, dancing, walking at the mall and wheeling and dealing. Rayburn was a very giving person. Rayburn loved his family and enjoyed playing cards with them every week.
Services will be at 2pm Saturday, March 28, 2026, at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home. Bro. Gerald Finley will officiate. Burial will be in the Collums Cemetery. Tutor Memorial Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors, wife, Jane; daughters, Myra Adams, Rhonda Mason and Paula Carriera and a son, Kelvin; grandchildren, Jacob, Mitch, Alex and Madison; several great grandchildren; special friend, Carol Russell; sisters, Dorothy Cox, Glenda Moore (Kelly), and Marilyn Holladay; brothers, Larry (Kathy) and Jimmy Swanson; special friends, Tony Barnes and Byron Erby; special cousin, Sue Voyles and many more friends.
Preceded in death by, his parents; brothers, Marlin, Curtis, LV, Earnest and Richard; sisters, Estmer Coleman, Vera McKnight, Frances Willliams, Faye James, Leuvenia Purdon, Nona Mullen, Norma Lauer, Kathleen Moore and Linda Hayles; and a stepson, Terry Russell.
Pallbearers, Chris Hutchinson, Tim Berry, Jacob Adams, Derek Morris, Lucas Walls and Mitch Mason.
