Diana Lynn Moon Medley, age 68, of Elkmont, Alabama, passed away peacefully at Huntsville Hospital on Saturday morning, March 21, 2026. Born January 16, 1958, in Madison County, Diana was the beloved daughter of Maples “Mutt” Moon and Betty Delong Moon. She shared over 32 years of marriage with her husband, Russel Bailey Medley.
Diana dedicated her professional life as a store manager for Spencer Oil Company. She was also a devoted member of Cave Springs Baptist Church in Owens Cross Roads.
A true lover of nature, Diana found joy in camping, gardening, and designing beautiful floral arrangements and flower beds. She also enjoyed collecting Longaberger baskets, and built a collection that reflected her appreciation for craftsmanship and beauty.
Family Diana leaves behind to treasure their memories include her husband, Russel B. Medley; her sister, Mary Grace Miller; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Diana is preceded in death by her parents, Mutt and Betty Moon; son, Dylan Moon; and sister, Patricia “Patty” Campbell.
Services for Diana will be Tuesday, March 24, 2026 at Brindlee Mountain Chapel in Morgan City. Family and friends will gather for visitation beginning at 10:00am with the funeral service immediately following at 11:00am. Brother Dewey Champion will be officiating services. Honored to serve as pallbearers and escorting Diana to her final resting place in Rescue Cemetery will be Patrick Campbell, Weston Campbell, Robbie Keel, Mark Medley, Marcus Medley and Timothy Medley. Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel are assisting the family with arrangements.
