Gary Wallace Vandiver, age 79 passed away on Friday, March 19, 2026, in Russellville, AL.
Gary was born on January 13, 1947, to the late Paul Vandiver and Earlene Garrison. He attended Phil Campbell High School where he played football. He was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church. He loved fishing, hunting and gardening.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother Donny Vandiver.
He is survived by his wife Claudette Vandiver; children, Trent (Amy) Vandiver, Marcus Strickland, and Chris Butler; grandchildren, Lauren (Preston) Beasley, Hagen Price, Madelyn Price, Brodie (Zoey) Vandiver, Brady Cleaver, Rory Cleaver; Great-grandchildren, Grayson Beasley, Jayden Duncan and a host of family and friends.
