Christina Augusta Phillips, age 76, passed away on Tuesday March 10, 2026, from an extended illness at her home surrounded by her loving family. Christina was born on August 18, 1949, in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Walter and Helen Brinkman Krystynak. She loved playing bingo, fishing, and birdwatching, especially watching hummingbirds. She also had a special love for sunflowers, but most of all she loved her family. Christina was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, sister-in-law, and friend. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her loving family, husband of 57 years; John Phillips, daughters; Tina (Stephen) Spears, Sandra Hart, Donna Coffman, Angela Williams, brothers; Leo (Lisa) Krystynak, Paul (Sissy) Krystynak, sister; Lisa (Kenneth) Schallon, stepsons; Johnnie Phillips, Ronnie Phillips, grandchildren; Thomas E. Spears, Cameron B. Hart. Many more grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family also survive.
Per Christina’s wishes, she will be cremated. A memorial service and burial of her ashes will be held at a later date in St. Louis, Missouri at Memorial Park Cemetery.
