Deborah Kay “Debbie” Brimer, age 70, passed away at St. Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville on Tuesday March 10, 2026, from an extended illness. Debbie was born on January 11, 1956, to the late Raymond and Virginia Presley Tase. She attended the Church of God. Debbie was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother, who enjoyed spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

In addition to her parents Debbie was preceded in death by her brother, R.J. Tase.

She is survived by her loving family, husband of 54 years; James Brimer, son; Jamie Brymer, daughters; Janice (David) Jones, Regina (Stephen) Monk, Tiffany (Dustin) Johnson, Tina Smothers, brother, Gerald Tase, sister; Gina Simpson, Pat (James) Simmons, Brenda Tase, grandchildren; Justin Gentry, Penny (Zach) Murray, Brooklyn Monk, Jeffery Mitchell, Elijah Monk, Logan Jones, Lillie Jones, Addison Breedlove, Sophia Breedlove, Emma Wells, Aidin Wells, great-grandchildren; Grayson Daily, Jasper Gentry, Lanie Gentry, Ivy Murray, Tucker Murray, Anisley Monk. Many nieces, nephews, and a large extended family also survive.

Funeral services for Mrs. Debbie Brimer will be held on Friday March 13, 2026, at 2:00pm in the Layne Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Jerimiah Manus and Bro. Bethel Mooneyham officiating. Burial will follow at Cummingsville Cemetery. Visitation times are Thursday March 12, 2026, from 4:00pm-9:00pm and Friday March 13, 2026, from 9:00am until the time of service at 2:00pm.
