Mrs. Mary Lusk Sumner, age 91 of Scottsboro, Alabama passed away Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at Highlands Medical Center.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 6, 2026 at Cedar Hill Cemetery with her daughter, Rev. Donna King officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 12 p.m. on Friday at Scottsboro Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to New Hope Global Methodist Church.
Mrs. Sumner is survived by her daughter, Donna King (Gary); grandchildren, Mari Leigh Airheart Fanning (Robert), Charles R. Airheart (Maria); great grandchildren, Jeremiah Fanning, Jacob Fanning, Joseph Fanning, John Robert Fanning, Louisa Airheart, and Charlie Airheart; one niece and one nephew.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles L. Sumner; parents, Robert and Velma Lusk; sisters, Vivian Edminster and Sybil Walker; and niece, Linda Walker.
