Notice for Jimmy E Lindsey

Jimmy E. Lindsey, age 84, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 at his home. He was born on September 4, 1941, in Itawamba County to Earl and Nellie Lindsey.

He worked 16 years for Sheller Globe, known now as Foamex. He started Lindsey Foam Products in March of 1978 as owner and president until his retirement. He loved his family, especially spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren who lovingly called him Paw. He was a longtime member of Shiloh Community Church.

Services will be at 4:00pm, Friday, February 20, at the McNeece-Morris Funeral Home Chapel in Mantachie with Brother Ronnie Hill and Rev. Ronnie Goodwin officiating. Burial will be in the Center Star Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Sue Lollar Lindsey; son Ricky Lindsey (Lisa) of Mantachie; daughter Angie Minga (Rodney) of Mantachie; grandchildren: Collin Minga (Carli) of Fulton; Kelsey Minga of Fayetteville, AR; Beth Lindsey Reed (Ian) of Mantachie; McKenna Lindsey of Chattanooga, TN. Great Grandchildren: Colton and Mary Catherine Minga and Ellis Reed; Sisters: Eva Garner (James) and Faye King (J.C), Sister-in-law, Barbara Lindsey and Brother-in-law, C.A. Watts.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Nellie Lindsey, infant son, Jeffery; Brothers: Lee (Velma), James Cliston (Janie Lou) and Truman; Sister, Bennie Sue Watts and Niece, Myra Garner Pharr.

Pallbearers will be Rodney Lindsey, Brad Lindsey, Frankie Lindsey, Billy Lindsey, Kenneth Lindsey, Collin Minga and Ian Reed.

Visitation will be Friday from 2:00-4:00 at McNeece-Morris Funeral home in Mantachie.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Shiloh Community Church or the charity of your choice.
