Larry Wayne Cox, age 69, a longtime resident of Hohenwald, passed away peacefully Monday, February 9, 2026, at home with his loving wife by his side.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 13, 2026, at 2:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home with Joe Grider officiating. Following the service, he will be laid to rest at Calvary Baptist Church Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2026, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Heritage Funeral Home.
Larry was born in Spring Hill, Tennessee, on August 27, 1956. He lived a life defined by hard work, faith, and devotion to his family and country. He enjoyed watching TV, especially Gunsmoke. He loved life’s simple pleasures, including cooking, Wisconsin football, and singing.
Larry proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Navy and served in the Afghanistan War. Following his military service, he worked for many years as a truck driver, a profession he loved deeply.
He is survived by his loving wife Alma; daughter, Becky (Eric) Spears, Alex Vice, Melody (Tony) Memuscia; brothers, Jerry Cox, Terry (Mary) Cox; sisters, Lou (William) Dobbins, Pauline (Bruce) Whitwell, Kathy Green; grandchildren, Lia West, Scott Fueltes, Grant (Brianna) Spears, Madison (Darniel) Matias; great-grandchildren, Laelani Matias.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by parents, Delmer Stanley Cox and Mary Magaline England; brothers, Donald Cox, Billy Joe Cox, Daniel Cox; sisters, Sue Carroll, Margaret Blckburn, Barbara Roberts.
