Terry Edward Shubert, 73 of Sayre, passed away Wednesday February 4, 2026.
He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Warrior. He was a member of Brooklin Masonic Lodge #704 F&AM. He was a retired truck driver from Yellow Freight Lines, and he was an avid Alabama football fan. Above all, he was a loving and devoted family man. He loved being with his family and loved attending everything his grandchildren were involved in.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ed and Juanita Shubert and his father and mother-in-law, Ed and Doris Tate.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Dianne Shubert; his daughters, Andria Cummings and husband Chris, and Cara Porter and husband Jason; grandchildren, Justin Cummings (Shelby), Olivia Cummings, Henry Porter and Hannah Porter; great grandson, Freddy Cummings; his brother, Jacky Shubert (Kim); sister-in-law, Jean Newman; special relationships, Jason Shubert (Donna) and family, Rob Capps (Jona), along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and a community of friends.
Funeral services will be Monday February 9, 2026 at 2:30 pm in the New Horizon Memorial Chapel. Rev. Earl Goode will officiate. Burial will follow in Lawler Cemetery. Visitation is Monday 12:30-2:30 pm at the funeral home.
