Mr. Keith Wayne Whisenant, age 69, of the Morgan City community of Marshall County passed away Monday, February 2, 2026 at Huntsville Hospital. Keith was born in Morgan County, AL on April 3, 1956, one of six children born to Troy Otto Whisenant and Edna Louise Gobble Whisenant. He and Vickie Meares Whisenant have been married for over 49 years and created a warm and loving home for their two sons, Jody and Ty. Keith recently retired from Boeing after a career that spanned over 30 years as a Level 3 NDT Quality professional on programs like International Space Station, Arrow Missile Program, and Space Launch System (SLS). Keith loved baseball and played it his entire life. He was proud to be part of a team in Huntsville with his friends and teammates.
Family members Keith leaves behind to carry on his legacy include his wife, Vickie Whisenant; sons, Jody Whisenant (RaShalle) and Ty Whisenant; three grandchildren, Zoey Whisenant, Ava Whisenant, and Troy Whisenant; brother, Gary Whisenant; and sisters, Rhonda Taylor and Mahalla Ertl.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Troy and Edna Whisenant and his two brothers, Danny Whisenant and Dennis (Denny) Whisenant.
Services for Keith will be at Arab Memorial Chapel in Arab, Alabama. Family, friends and guests will gather for a visitation time at the Arab Chapel on Thursday evening, February 5, 2026 between the hours of 5:00pm and 8:00pm. The funeral service will be at 11:00am on Friday, February 6, 2026 also at the chapel. Brother Ken Tyler will be officiating. Burial will be in the Mt. Olive Cemetery at Morgan City, AL.
