Alfred Allen Rouse, aged 83, of Athens, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 1st, 2026, at his residence. Born on July 4th, 1942, in Limestone County, Alfred was the beloved son of Ollie Lee and Mary Mae Johnson Rouse.
Alfred is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Rouse, and cherished son, Brandon Rouse. He will also be remembered by his brothers, Billy Rouse (Debbie), Wayne Rouse, and Leroy Rouse, along with several nieces and nephews.
Alfred was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, and two brothers.
Friends and family are invited to gather in remembrance of Alfred at a visitation on Wednesday, February 4th, 2026, from 5:00-8:00 pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held the following day, Thursday, at 11:00 am at the same location, officiated by Tony Pack. Alfred will be laid to rest at Elk River Mills Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers honoring his memory include James Rouse, Donald Saylers, Jeremy Newman, Mike Royster, Bobby Dison, and Amos Perry.
Alfred was a remarkable man known for his passion for working on cars and tractors. He will be dearly missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.
