James Arlin Black Funeral service for James Arlin Black, 83, of Hanceville will be at 2 p.m., Thursday, February 5th, 2026 at Arkadelphia Baptist Church with burial in the adjoining cemetery, Rev. Harce Swann officiating.  The family will receive friends at the church from 12-2.

Cullman Funeral Home is honored to serve the family.

Mr. Black passed away Sunday, Feb. 1st, 2026 at Waker Baptist Hospital.  He was born September 27. 1942 to James Curtis & Estelle Black.  He was a truck driver, loved Gunsmoke and watching TV, loved Alabama football and Nascar racing.  He belonged to Arkadelphia Baptist since he was very young.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Paul Black; daughter, Joy Black; brother, Rondle Black; nephews, Kelly Campbell, Dusty Black; brother-in-law, Robert Campbell.

Survivors include his son, Blake Black (Rebecca ‘Becky’ Drummong); brother, Faron Black; sisters, Gala (Allen) Rice, Elaine Campbell; grandchild, Annalynn Blakely Blake; family and friends.
