Harold Raymond Scott, age 79, passed away Tuesday January 27, 2026 from a extended illness. Harold was born on December 10, 1946 to the late William and Victory Yates Scott. He worked for many years at the Van Buren County landfill and was of the Christian faith.
In addition to his parents, Harold was preceded in death by, brothers; Carl Victory Scott, Douglas Scott, sister; Lola Marie Ramsey Scott, half-brothers; Leaton Sullivan, Pete Sullivan, John Sullivan.
Harold is survived by wife; Margaret Brimer Scott, son; Jason Scott, daughters; Marsha (Michael) Cox, Julie Scott, brothers; William (Linda) Scott, Bobby (Gloria) Scott, grandchildren; Shaun Cox, Samantha Scott Simmons, great-grandchildren; Trysten Simmons, Logan Simmons and Grayson Myers. A large extended family also survives.
Graveside services will be held Friday January 30, 2026 at 1:00pm in Sodom Cemetery with Bro. John Turner officiating. Visitation will occur Thursday from 1:00pm to 8:00pm at the funeral home.
