Funeral service for Kenny “KT” Thompson, 78, will be Friday, January 30, 2026 at 1:00 PM at First Baptist Church with Bro. Clayton Speed and Bro. Spencer Bell officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. His body will lie in state at First Baptist Church of Hartselle from 12:00 PM until service time. Burial will be in Hartselle City Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday, January 29, 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mr. Thompson passed away on Sunday, January 25, 2026 at South Baldwin Regional Medical Center. He was born Friday, July 11, 1947, in Tallapoosa County, to Duel Thompson and Johnnie Lucille Wood Thompson, who preceded him in death.
He was employed by the Morgan County Board of Education as a teacher, educator, mentor and coach, prior to his retirement. He also was a homebuilder, and served on the Hartselle City Council, proudly, for 33 years. He was a loving husband and father and a friend to many.

his Wife – Revenia Hardin Thompson,
Son – Ashley Thompson,
Brother-in-law – Lynn Hardin (Beth),
Sister-in-law – Gail Garner (Paul),
and several Cousins.
Pallbearers will be Terry Wayne Carver, Tony Jones, Dwight Tankersley, Randy Garrison, Richard Greenhill, and Larry Fields.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Mike Screws, Billy Don Sharp, John Griffin, and Mitch Owens, along with the Priceville High School Class of 1965.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Donations may be made to the Kenny Thompson Scholarship Fund @ Peoples Bank of Alabama.
