Funeral Services for Gerald Willis Sprayberry, age 88, will be held on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville, AL at 12:00 P.M. Burial Will be at Mt Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery at a later date.
Mr. Sprayberry grew up in Birmingham and joined the Marines right after high school. He spent most of his life doing auto body repair but always lived his life being the best he could be.
He is survived by his wife of nearly 21 years Ruihua Sprayberry; children, Gerald Scott Sprayberry wife Debra, Sheila Sprayberry Wells husband Mike, Gary Sprayberry, Terry Harris and Queenie Qi Wang and husband Yong Qui Zheng; brother, Melvin Sprayberry and wife Linda; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and other extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Winman Sprayberry and Clovis Alma Sprayberry; three children, Kim Rigsby, Darrin Sprayberry and David Harris; two siblings.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 11:00 until 12:00 before the service at Benefield Funeral Home in Lineville.
The family is requesting potted plants only.
