Rene Javier Castillo Botello, age 27 of Fort Payne, passed away on Sunday, January 18, 2026. He was born on August 3, 1998 to Rene Castillo Olivares & Maria Guadalupe Martinez.
He was employed at Toyota of Huntsville. He was a 2016 graduate of Fort Payne High School.
Funeral Mass will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at Our Lady Of The Valley Catholic Church with burial following in the Glenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the funeral home. In honor of Rene, the family requests friends and family to wear white or pink.
He is survived by his parents; brothers, Jose (Cynthia Pesina) Castillo and Daniel Castillo; sisters, Erika (David) Gallegos and Julissa (Luis) Castillo; and several nieces and nephews.
