Glenda Joanne May, age 88 of Belvidere, passed away on Friday, December 19, 2025, at HH Health Systems in Huntsville, Alabama. A native of Franklin County, she was born on March 4, 1937, to the late Ellis and Elma (Gifford) Putman. Until retirement, Glenda alongside her husband, Monroe, spent many years working on their family farm. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Monroe; and brothers, Larry Putman, Guy Putman, and Kenneth Putman. She is survived by her sister, June George of Huntland; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 12-1pm on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will follow at 1:00 pm in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Interment will be at Watson Cemetery in Huntland.
