It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved sister, Angela Dawn Turner, who departed this life on Thursday, December 11th, 2025, after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of fifty-eight. Her warmth, kindness, and generosity touched the lives of all who knew her.

Angela was born on January 26th, 1967, in Scottsboro, Alabama to the late Gary Lee Turner and late Barbara Watson Turner.

Angela lived a life filled with love, laughter, and dedication. She graduated from
Scottsboro High School and attended Maryville College in Tennessee where she
studied chemistry. Later in life she discovered a passion for healing and continued her education at the University of Alabama in Huntsville receiving a BSN and MSN in Nursing. She pursued a career in nursing, where she was respected for her hard work and commitment.

Throughout her life, Angela found joy in reading, cooking, quilting, music, and football. Whether it was spending time with family, traveling, or volunteering, she brought light and positivity wherever she went.

Angela was preceded in death by her parents Barbara and Gary Turner and her brother- in-law Randall Holder.

She is survived by her sisters, Gwen Holder; Carolyn Turner; Paula Loyd (Terry); nieces and nephew, Rebecca Murphy (Anthony); Erica Edenfield (Austin); Garret Loyd (Naomi); and much-loved great nieces and nephew, Breanna Murphy, Lexi Murphy, Sophia Loyd, Avery Loyd, Madeleine Edenfield, Clara Edenfield, and Turner Loyd along with a host of other family and friends. Also left behind is her loyal canine companion, Olleigh Sue. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A service to celebrate Angela’s life will be held on December 20th, 2025, at Scottsboro Funeral Home in Scottsboro, Alabama, beginning at 11:00 am followed with a private family interment at Cedar Hill Cemetery. The Reverend Dr. John Pond will be officiating with music provided by Rick Rorex. Her family will be receiving friends at the funeral home Saturday morning from 10:00 am until service time.

May she rest in peace and may her memory be a blessing.
