Linda Jeanette Blackwell PooleLinda Jeanette Blackwell Poole, aged 86, of Athens, passed peacefully at her residence on Sunday, December 14th, 2025. Born on November 12th, 1939, in Limestone County, she was the daughter of Burl Houston Blackwell and Virginia Lee Holt Blackwell.

Mrs. Poole leaves behind a devoted family who will continue to celebrate her life and legacy. She is survived by her beloved husband, Clifton Poole, and their children: Sherry Adlich (Steve), Mike Poole (Marta), and Jane Richardson (Nelson). Her grandchildren, who brought her immense joy, include Lauren Richardson Swaggerty (Drew), Savannah Poole Hodges (Will), Emily Adlich Crosby (Will), Elizabeth Adlich Tisdale (Patrick), Katie Poole Gieske (Will), and Nelson “Trey” Richardson, III. Additionally, she is fondly remembered by her eight great-grandchildren, three sisters, and numerous nieces and nephews. Mrs. Poole was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, and two brothers.

Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance of Mrs. Poole during the visitation on Friday, December 19th, 2025, from 12:00-1:30pm at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 2:00pm at Roselawn Cemetery. Pallbearers honoring her memory include Nelson “Trey” Richardson, III, Will Hodges, Will Gieske, Drew Swaggerty, Will Crosby, and Patrick Tisdale.

Linda Jeanette Blackwell Poole was a remarkable woman whose passions included gardening, reading, and fishing. However, her greatest love and joy was her family, who will forever cherish the memories they shared. Her generous spirit and warm heart touched the lives of all who knew her, and she will be dearly missed. Let us come together to celebrate the life of a woman who gave so much love and left a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to have known her.
