Edward B. Hickman, age 77, of Huntsville, Alabama, was born on September 6, 1948, in Duncan, Oklahoma, and passed away peacefully on December 8, 2025.
Ed shared 48 years of marriage with his beloved wife, Sylvia, building a life centered on love, devotion, and family. He was a proud and loving father to Michael Hickman (wife Betsy) and Steven Hickman, and a devoted grandfather to Gemma, whom he adored deeply. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hercel W. Hickman and Marion Rebecca Hickman. He is also survived by his sister, Elizabeth Storment (James).
Ed will be remembered for his strength, kindness, and unwavering dedication to those he loved, as well as for his love of life-long learning, history, reading, and golf. Family was always his greatest joy, and his steady presence and quiet wisdom left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
