Dallas Malcolm Jones, age 88, of Decatur, AL., passed away Thursday, December 11, 2025 at Madison Hospital.
He was born July 13, 1937 to Euble Dallas Jones and Ruby Vena Roberts Jones in Morgan County, Alabama.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter, Sara Beth Jones.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Lorene Jones; two sons, Jeffery Jones (Denetiza) and David Jones (Penelope); daughter, Leigh Ann Adcock (Chris); two grandsons, Lane Adcock (Morgan), Wyatt Adcock; granddaughter, Libby Tenney (Chad); one great grandson, Beckett Lane Adcock; sister, Carolyn Way.
He was a graduate of Danville High School, Class of 1955. He retired from Monsanto after 36 ½ years of service. He was a member of Decatur Church of Christ where he served as Elder. He was a member of the Sons of The American Revolution. He was an Alabama and Atlanta Braves Fan.
A Funeral Service will be held Monday, December 15, 2025 at 11:00 AM at Decatur Church of Christ with Mark Posey, Alan Watkins, and Reed Swindell officiating and Shelton Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM prior to the service. Burial will follow at Johnson Chapel Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Wyatt Adcock, Chad Tenney, Lane Adcock, Jimmy Jeffers, Randall Terry and Andy Nash.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Elders and Deacons of Decatur Church of Christ.
In Lieu of Flowers, Donations may be made to a Charity of your Choice.
