Brenda L. Yates, 67, of Dora, passed away December 2, 2025, at her residence. Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm, Sunday, December 7, 2025, at New Horizon Chapel with Rev. Kent Nelson officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 11:00am. Burial will be in Bethel Cemetery in Dora.
Brenda was preceded in death by her parents Jack and Beulah Lee, husband Jereal Yates, Sr., sisters Georgia White, Edna Worley, Jenny Phillips, and bonus daughter Carolyn Phillips.
She is survived by her six children, Veronica (Mark) Norris, Jacqueline Yates, Brenda Gail (Wesley) McDonald, Theresa (Scott) Cooper, Lisa (Jeremy) Hyde, and Jereal Yates, Jr. along with bonus daughter Martha (Ricky) Curtis, numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren, sisters Ramona Jett, Betty Gantley and three brothers Sidney (Marilyn) Lee, Samuel Lee, Thomas Lee and bonus son in law Charles Phillips.
Brenda loved spending time with her family and cooking. She also volunteered at Clearview Cancer Center in Jasper.
