Colten "Cody" Allan MathewsColten “Cody” Allan Mathews, 34, passed away on Sunday, November 30, 2025, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo, MS. Born on June 10, 1991, in Tupelo to David and Tabatha Parrish Mathews, he graduated from Pontotoc High School in 2009 and from Itawamba Community College in 2010 with a degree in welding and metal fabrication. Cody loved hunting, fishing, and most of all, spending time with his greatest blessing and pride, his daughter Mallory. A dedicated worker, he was employed at Cooper Tire and Walmart DC before spending the last few years as a landscaper. He was a member of Oak Hill Baptist Church and was loved by many, leaving behind cherished memories and will be deeply missed.

Cody is survived by his parents; his daughter, Mallory Grace Mathews; his brother, Ross Mathews (Lindzie); his grandmother, Jean Mathews; his great-grandfather, Graden Jarrett; his uncles, Steve Mathews (Lisa) and Barry Mathews (Kourtney); and his aunt, Vickie Roberts (Eugene).

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Johnny Mathews; his grandparents, Carl and Nell Parrish; and his great-grandparents, W.C. and Madelyn Mathews, and Eltice Jarrett.

A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2025, at 2 PM at Baldwin Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc, with Bro. Marty Browning officiating. Visitation will take place Tuesday evening, December 2, from 5–8 PM, and again on Wednesday afternoon from 1 PM until the service begins. Burial will follow at Pontotoc Memorial Gardens. Baldwin Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc is handling the arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Steve Mathews, Barry Mathews, Ross Mathews, Austin Taylor, Justin Moss, and Jimmy Parrish.
