Steven Pierre LaBouve, 52, of Collierville, TN (later Fulton, MS), passed away peacefully on November 22, 2025, at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, TN. He was born on July 1, 1973, in Greenville, MS, to the late James E. LaBouve and Rose A. LaBouve. Steven was a devoted husband, a proud and loving dad and uncle, and the kind of brother who could make you laugh even when you didn’t want to. Steven had a way of walking into a room and instantly making it lighter—whether with a joke, a goofy grin, or just his big, warm presence. He was funny in the simplest, most genuine way, and his silliness was one of the many things that made him so easy to love.
Steven loved hard and helped without hesitation. If you needed something—anything—he was already on his way before you finished asking. His generous heart was just built that way. At times he was hard-headed, but he cared deeply and was grounded in his solid and strong faith. He believed in God, loved his people fiercely, and lived his life by showing up for others again and again.
Those who were lucky enough to love him and laugh with him will carry his memory forever. The stories, the joy, the jokes that made us cry from laughing so hard—those are the pieces of him that will never leave.
We take comfort knowing he is finally at peace, wrapped in the same love he spent his whole life giving away.
Steven married Mollie Burciaga and together they celebrated 25 years of marriage. They built a loving home centered around family and faith. They were faithful members of Collierville First Baptist Church, Collierville, TN, where they actively served and raised their children. Later upon moving to Fulton, MS, they became a part of the sweet fellowship of believers at Harden’s Chapel Church where they served faithfully.
Steven is survived by his wife Mollie Burciaga LaBouve of Collierville , TN (later Fulton, MS) and his daughters Kellianne LaBouve Jordan (Eli) of Collierville, TN, and Hope Burciaga of Collierville, TN, along with his sweet grandson Oliver Dean Burciaga. He is also survived by a sister, Diane LaBouve Kelly (Wes) of Greenville, MS and is preceded in death by his parents James E. LaBouve and Rose A. LaBouve, and sister Jacquelyn Darlene LaBouve.
He was a proud uncle who loved his many nieces and nephews; they brought him great joy and will forever treasure his love and kindness: Kenny Kolbow (Nikki), Brittany (Oltremari) Knoll (David), Valerie Mendoza, Bubba Mendoza (Bonner), Heather Mendoza, Jesse Rogers (Michelle), Brooke (Oltremari) Holmes (Brandon), Layla Westmoreland, Christian Rowell, Trevor Rowell, Ashlee Halley, and Costigan Burciaga.
His family will celebrate his life with a private memorial service. McNeece-Morris Funeral Home of Fulton is honored to serve the LaBouve family.
The family would like to thank everyone for all the outpouring of love, thoughts and prayers during this most difficult time. It means the world to us.
