Jo Ann Gentry, 87, passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2025, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo, MS. Born November 2, 1938, in Pontotoc, MS, to Oliver and Ruby Seale Stewart, she was a devoted member of Immanuel Baptist Church.
She is survived by her daughter Michelle Roberts; grandchildren Ryan Roberts (Michelle), Reagan Roberts, and Meagan Pennington (Jamie); great-grandchildren Austin Pennington, Rylan Roberts, Remington Roberts, Morgan Pennington, Rayden Roberts, Mason Pennington, Myles Pennington, Axel Wray, Ruger Roberts, Riley Roberts, Roper Roberts, and Ramsey Roberts; and her sister Sarah Tackett (Tommy).
She was preceded in death by her husband Louis D. Gentry, her parents, her brother Wayne Stewart, and her sister Doris Stewart.
Funeral services will be at 2 PM on Monday, November 24, 2025, at Immanuel Baptist Church with Bro. Frank Wilder officiating. Visitation will begin at 12 PM until service time, followed by burial in Immanuel Cemetery.
Pallbearers include Billy Wayne Stewart, Dickie Austin, Chris Stewart, BJ Stewart, Zach Holloway, and Drew Holloway.
Honorary pallbearers are Marty Brown, Chad Jaggers, David Owen, Sam Stewart, Michael Gentry, and Adam Gentry.
