James Brent "JB" Hooper II  James Brent “J.B” Hooper, II
January 30, 2004 – November 12, 2025

On Wednesday, November 12, 2025, our son, James Brent “J.B.” Hooper, II; passed away at his residence. He was born on January 30, 2004, to James Brent Hooper I & Stella Carol Hooper and lived all his 21 years in Russellville. He was the light of our lives.

JB graduated from Russellville High School in 2022. He had a heart bigger than Texas and would give his shirt off of his back to anyone in need. His passion was old cars, fixing them up with Marty, going antique shopping with his mom, and he was his dad’s heartbeat. He loved old time music and had to have his Dr. Pepper’s.

From the day he was born, he brought an abundance of joy to all of our lives every day and to everyone who was blessed to know him. He was kind and compassionate to all, young and old alike. He was always fun to be around and could always put a smile on your face. James Brent loved computers and was a wizard on them. He loved his job as a IT specialist at North Alabama Medical Center in Florence.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his parents, James Brent Hooper I and Stella Carol Hooper; Nana Geraldine Hooper; Grandmother Verna Fenn; aunt, Sandra Sandusky; uncle & aunt, Bill & Susan Hooper; special brother, Marty Fisher; and a gigantic host of other family and friends.

He is preceded death by his grandpas, Billy G. Hooper and Glen Spurgeon; aunts, Lesa Hooper and Alice Spurgeon; uncles, Ricky Sandusky and Harold Glen Spurgeon.

The visitation will be 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 17, 2025, at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will follow at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel with burial at Franklin Memory Gardens.
