James Douglas “Doug” Reed
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Doug, who departed this life on November 6, 2025 peacefully at his home. Born on May 26, 1954, Doug was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Doug was known for his quick wit, infectious laughter and unwavering kindness. He was a Christian singer songwriter and was a war vet, a nurse, driver for entertainers and a member of the Russellville Masonic Lodge.
Doug is survived by his wife of 51 years, Debbie; his children, Kim Alexander and Brandon Reed (Ramona); his grandchildren, Harrison, Reed, Lannah, Lilly, Adrionna, Savannah and Jon; great-grandchildren, Anna’Rae, Brantley, Alannah, Jackson, Olivia, and Willow; brother-in-law, Jeff Allen.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn Reed and Bettye Jo Herndon and sister Debbie Mitchell.
There are no services planned at this time.
Doug’s kindness, generosity, wittiness and love for his family will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew him.
