It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert Daniel Calhoun, 83, of Huntsville, AL, who left us on October 20, 2025. He was a proud Vietnam veteran who served his country with courage, but his greatest role in life was being a loving husband, father, stepfather, and grandfather.
To his family, Bob was our rock and our storyteller. He had a way of making everyone feel special, and his laughter and wisdom will stay with us always. He loved his family deeply and showed it not just in words, but in countless small acts of kindness and devotion every day. He was preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Calhoun and Mary Calhoun, his wife, Mildred, and his siblings, Richard (Dick) Calhoun and Ted Calhoun. He is survived by his wife Cleo Calhoun, brothers Leslie Calhoun, and Bill Calhoun, his sons Roger Calhoun, Nick Calhoun (Deb), Matt Calhoun (Cathy), Mike Calhoun, daughters Melissa Reavis (Dewayne) and Teresa Lee (James), his grandsons Tommy Calhoun (Mary Beth), Logan Calhoun and Ryan Calhoun and their mother Ellen Ferizovic (Vick), Dustin Reavis (Amanda), his granddaughter Morgan Reavis (Kyle), and great grandson Cole Reavis, all of whom will forever cherish his memory.
Although our hearts ache, we find comfort in knowing that his love will continue to guide us. His life and legacy will live on in each of us, and we will carry his spirit forward with pride.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 1, 2025, at Berryhill Funeral Home from 12:00 to 2:00 pm. The service will immediately follow in the chapel at 2:00 pm. Interment will take place at Valhalla Cemetery with full military funeral honors.
