Anita Darlene Lovvorn, 63, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend to many, passed away on October 17th, 2025. Born May 8th, 1962, she lived a life of love and light throughout her time on Earth. She touched the lives of family and friends near and far with her pure heart and smile that lit up a room.
Her love for cosmetology started her career as a hairdresser where she met lifelong friends and bonded with clients day to day. She seamlessly transitioned from her role at work into a stay-at-home mom. Darlene’s greatest joy came from spending time with her family and fostering a loving environment. Darlene’s love for nurturing things was evident in her beautiful garden and detailed paintings. At home, she created an environment of unconditional love and support to her daughter and husband. Though she battled many years with Multiple Sclerosis and accompanying illnesses, she strived each day to not let her trials define her. She used each new morning as an opportunity to love and laugh harder than the day before. Although unexpected, we know she is dancing pain and illness-free in the loving arms of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Darlene is survived by her husband Greg Lovvorn, daughter Taylor, granddaughter Teagan, brothers Lamar, Terry, Jerry, Patrick, sisters Janice, Shirley, and many other friends and family. She is preceded in death by her mother Patricia Loudermilk, Step-Dad RW Loudermilk, brother Dewayne Loudermilk, best friends Sadie, Diane, and countless other friends and family.
Visitation will be held at Scottsboro Funeral Home on Monday, October 20th from 5-8 p.m., with the service on Tuesday, October 21st at 1 p.m. Rev. Joe Moore will officiate. Interment will follow at Pinehaven Memorial Gardens.
