Vonnie Mills Turner  Margaret Yvonne Mills Turner, 84, our sweet mother, quietly slipped out of the bondage of illness and dementia, and ran into the arms of her Savior Jesus in the early hours of the morning on October 11, 2025. We could never be ready for her to go on home, but she was ready. The thing that makes it more bearable is knowing what a joyous reunion is happening in heaven today. She was married for 30 years to her forever love; James Ladell Turner and she was ready to see her mother Cleo Mills and her brother and sisters she lost while suffering from dementia. Even rejoicing for her and her new heavenly home, will never lessen how much we will forever miss her. She was born to Johnny and Cleo Mills in Pontotoc County. She attended school at Sherman and Randolph. She was a precious wife and mother and was a homemaker all of her life. She loved to garden and loved growing vegetables and flowers. She was a caretaker of others her whole life and was happier when she had someone to care for. After her husband passed away, she worked as a home health care provider in Pontotoc.

She is survived by her daughter, Regina Austin (Larry Joe), her daughter, Kristy Wages, and her grandchildren, Joseph Austin, Andrea Austin, Allison Austin, Zach Wages, Amber Park, and Layci Wages. She is also survived by her brothers, Kenneth Mills (Barbara), Roy Mills (Lajune), and Jimmy Mills (Diane), and several beloved nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny and Cleo Mills, her husband, Ladell Turner, brother, Robert Mills (Mary), sister, Martha Goggins (Till), sister, Peggy Tutor (Paul Lane), and a precious niece, Melissa Mills.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at 2PM at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc with Bro. Wayne Ward and Bro. Scotty Bland officiating. Visitation will be Monday evening from 5-8PM and Tuesday afternoon 12PM until service time. Burial will follow in New Robbs Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.
