Betty Sue Brooks, age 85 of Bridgeport passed away on Friday, November 6, 2026 at her home surrounded by her loved ones. Betty is survived by her Children, Debbie Hawkins, Kimberly Russell, Kevin (Carla) Brooks, Shannon McLemore, Lisa Garrett, 9 Grandchildren, 13 Great Grandchildren, Siblings, Helen Howard, Lucy York, Catherine Neeley, Shirley Talley, Diane Elliot, Tony Higdon. Betty is preceded in death by her Husband, Sonny Brooks, Parents, Ollie and Theodore Higdon, Brothers, John L. Higdon, Robert Higdon. Visitation will be held on Sunday November 8, 2026 at Rudder Funeral Home Bridgeport from 11:00 AM until 3:00 PM. Funeral Services will follow beginning at 3:00 PM in the Rudder Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Ronnie Coffelt officiating. Interment will follow at the St. Bonaventure Cemetery in Bridgeport, Alabama.
