James Jasper Durham, age 71 of Lynchburg, passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at Vanderbilt-Harton Hospital in Tullahoma. He was born in Akron, Ohio on June 5, 1954, to the late Herman and Rose M. (Cook) Durham. A kind and generous man, he would give anyone the shirt off his back. In addition to his parents, James was preceded in death by his brothers, William Durham and Richard Trussell. He is survived by his sister, Elaine “Tiny” Hill; special friend, Audrey Rogers; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 5-8 pm on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, October 10, 2025, in the Chapel of Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby McBee officiating. Interment will follow at Vernon Ridge Cemetery.
