Annie Ruth Maxedon Sweat (July 17, 1937 – October 1, 2025)
born in Ramer, TN to Alvah Bell Maxedon and Edith Jewel Hamm Maxedon.
Annie Ruth’s first love was her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, she enjoyed going to the First United Pentecostal church in Crump, TN with her daughter – Dianne, the two of them enjoyed many trips and outings together listening to gospel music along the way.
Annie Ruth enjoyed cooking, crocheting, and growing flowers. She loved Christmas and Thanksgiving with her family. She also enjoyed the company of her sweet little companions, Zach and Tabby.
She and her husband, Ben Sweat enjoyed thirty-five years together. He passed away in 2005.
She had a loving and caring daughter by her side for many years. The two of them have enjoyed the blessings of the Lord which has been a great comfort to her daughter.
Annie Ruth was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd (Ben) Sweat in 2005; seven brothers, Gerald, Archibald (Bill), Virgil, Pitts, Jackie, Bobby, and Julian Maxedon; one sister, Lila Fern Maxedon Kobantz; stepchildren, Johnny, Randy and Anthony Sweat, Rosie Salvucci, Billy Sherron.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Edith Dianne Sherron Harris; two stepdaughters, Barbara Sweat Miller and Dottie Kay King; stepson, Jimmy Sweat.
