Herbert “Leon” Sharber, age 86, passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2025. He was born on December 12, 1938 to the late William Gray and Lottie Lurlene Sharber of Rockvale, TN. He was also preceded in death by his son, Lee Sharber; daughter, Eva Faith Sharber; and brothers, Harold Sharber and Wallace Sharber.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Sharber; children, Mark Sharber (Gwen), Angela Simmons (Chris), Kenneth Sharber (Johanna), William Sharber, Rachel Boles (William), Aaron Sharber, and Jeremy Sharber; grandchildren, Gray Sharber, Edison Shannon, and Everleigh Shannon; and many other family and friends.
Leon was a graduate of Rockvale High School, Middle Tennessee State University, and Nashville School of Law. He practiced law in Middle Tennessee for 50 years and served as the city attorney for Eagleville for several years. He was also a proud veteran, serving in both the United States Air Force and Tennessee Army National Guard. He enjoyed spending time with his family and working on his farm in Lascassas, TN. Leon was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather and will be missed by all who knew him.
Visitation with the family will be Sunday, September 28, 2025 from 3:00-7:00 PM at Woodfin Memorial Chapel. Funeral service will be Monday, September 29, 2025 at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
