Altagracia PasillasAltagracia Pasillas, age 88, passed away on Friday, September 19, 2025. A visitation will be held at Pinkard Funeral Home in Russellville, Alabama on Saturday, September 27 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm with the Funeral Service immediately following at 2:00 PM. Burial will be at East Franklin Cemetery in Phil Campbell.

One of the things Altagracia enjoyed the most was cooking. It wasn’t just about making food, she found joy in watching her family enjoy her meals, and every dish she made carried a piece of her love. For her, cooking was never a chore. It was her way of showing us how much she loved us.

Altagracia also had a gift for crocheting, she would sit for hours making blankets, scarves, hats, and little keepsakes for her family. Each gift was more than yarn and thread—it was time, love, and thoughtfulness woven together. To this day, many of us hold onto the things she made, not just as objects, but as reminders of her kindness and care.

What stood out most about her was her giving spirit. Whether it was through a warm meal or a handmade gift, she had a way of making everyone feel special. She didn’t just provide for her family—she poured love into everything she did.

She embodied love – she made everyone feel at home with her genuine warmth and affection; she loved fiercely and showered that love on everyone she knew.

Though she is no longer physically with us, her love remains in the meals we remember, the handmade gifts we hold, and the memories we shared.
