Gary Wayne McWhorter, 80 of Trafford passed away Monday, September 1, 2025, at his residence. Gary was born March 2, 1945 in Marshall County the son of Bueman McWhorter and Florence Leak McWhorter. He attended Countyline Baptist Church and was a retired diesel mechanic.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years: Barbara Tedder McWhorter; children: Lisa Ann Ewing, Romona Norris and David Jarmon; grandchildren: Ayla, Jarrad, Hope, Mila and Neko; sister: Barbara Ann Ponder; host of other relatives and many friends. He was preceded in death by daughter: Stacy Handley, grandson: Seth Ewing, and a brother: Billy Ray McWhorter.
Funeral Service will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 4, 2025, at Gober Funeral Chapel with Brother Mark Moon and Brother Glen Stewart officiating. The burial will be in Hopewell Cemetery, Gober Funeral Chapel directing.
Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Gober Funeral Chapel.
