August 30 – September 1, 2025 – Jeepin’ the Saloon – Seven Springs Lodge, 1292 Mt Mills Rd,
Tuscumbia. Get ready for Jeepin’ the Saloon 2025, an annual off-road Jeep event in North Alabama,
taking place from Friday, August 30, through Monday, September 1, 2025. This thrilling adventure is
held on the property of the world-famous Rattlesnake Saloon within Seven Springs Lodge in
Tuscumbia, Alabama, promising trails for every skill level and various outdoor activities. For more

September 1, 2025 – Coon Dog Cemetery Labor Day Celebration – Coon Dog Cemetery,
719 US Hwy W, Tuscumbia. Join in the festivities at the annual Labor Day Celebration at the
Key Underwood Coon Dog Memorial Graveyard, located at 4945 Coondog Cemetery Road in
Cherokee. This beloved event, running from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., is a full day of entertainment and
community. You can enjoy delicious barbecue plates, browse a variety of vendors, and
participate in raffles, buck dancing, and the popular liar’s contest. Live music will be provided by
Baileytown, Joseph Baldwin, and The Cadillacs. All proceeds from the celebration go toward the
upkeep of the cemetery. The historic site was established in 1937 and is the only cemetery of its
kind in the world, serving as the final resting place for more than 300 coon dogs from across the
United States. A representative from the Friends of the Coon Dog Cemetery Board invites
everyone to come out and support this cherished tradition on September 1.
September 1, 2025 – Spring Park Labor Day Celebration – Spring Park, 1 Spring Park Rd.
Tuscumbia. Celebrate Labor Day in the picturesque Spring Park of Tuscumbia with an annual
extravaganza featuring a parade, live music, and more. Recognized as the nation’s oldest labor
union celebration, this event promises a day of festivities and camaraderie. Best of all, it’s a free
celebration open to all. Join us for the parade beginning at 10 am with festivities extending until 4 pm
as we commemorate the spirit of labor in a setting that combines tradition with the beauty of Spring
Park.
September 2, 2025 – Tailgate Party – Fiddledee D, 111 S. Main St., Tuscumbia. Come tailgate
at Fiddledee D on Tuesday, September 2nd, from 5:00 to 7:00 PM. Wear your team’s colors and

September 4, 2025 – Quad Cities Wild Game Cook-Off – 613 Fairground Road in Muscle

September 6- October 10, 2025 – Sanctum: Exhibit & Opening – Tennessee Valley Museum of
Art, 511 N. Water St.,Tuscumbia. The Tennessee Valley Museum of Art is hosting “SANCTUM,” a
mental health and wellness-focused exhibit, from September 6th to October 10th. The opening
reception will take place on Saturday, September 6th, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM. The exhibit will also
feature a series of workshops: “Write Where You Are” on September 13th, “Sound Bath” on

September 8-14, 2025 – North Alabama State Fair – North Alabama State Fairgrounds, 65
Sportsplex Dr., Muscle Shoals. From September 8-14, 2025, the North Alabama State Fair will be
held in Muscle Shoals, Alabama, offering a week of entertainment for all ages. Attendees can enjoy
one of the largest carnival midways in the area, featuring a variety of rides and attractions from
Wade Shows. In addition to the midway, the fair presents a lineup of free shows with paid admission,

September 11- 14, 2025 – Mardi Krawl – Hawk Pride Mountain Offroad, 3834 Hawk Pride
Mountain Road, Tuscumbia. From September 11-14, 2025, off-road enthusiasts will gather for
Mardi Krawl, an annual TLCA-sanctioned event at Hawk Pride Mountain Offroad Park in Tuscumbia,
AL. The event kicks off at 7:00 PM on Thursday and concludes at 7:00 PM on Sunday. This
thirteenth annual gathering provides a great opportunity for the community, especially Toyota
owners, to enjoy trail riding, food, and camaraderie. A key part of the event is raising money for a
worthy cause, with all proceeds this year going to Cajun Navy 2016. This grassroots organization

September 12-13, 2025 – Oka Kapassa Festival – Spring Park, 1 Spring Park Road. The Oka
Kapassa – Return to Cold Water Native American Festival, celebrating the culture of the Indigenous
peoples who once inhabited the region, will take place in Tuscumbia, Alabama, on September 12-13
in Spring Park. The park is located in the downtown area at 1 Spring Park Rd (South end of Main
St.). Friday’s event is a concert by “Celtic Indian” Arvel Bird, combining his mixed-blood American
Indian and Celtic heritage – weaving a musical tapestry through violin, fiddle, Native flutes, Irish
whistles, and stories. The park opens at 5:00 p.m. (food available) with the performance at 7:00 p.m.
Immediately following the concert there will be a symbolic lighting of torches at water’s edge in
remembrance of the Native Americans who were forced to leave their homeland along the infamous
“Trail of Tears”. Saturday, September 13, 10:00 – 5:00, is the full festival day, when authentic Native
American culture will be demonstrated through dance in full regalia, music, crafts, life skills and

September 13, 2025 – 23rd Annual Walk of Life – Tuscumbia Landing, Sheffield. Compelling
Stories of the Southeast invites everyone to the 23rd Annual Walk of Life on Saturday, September
13th, from 8:00 AM to noon. This free and family-friendly event welcomes First Americans of all
nations to travel the two-mile route along the historic Trail of Tears, back into the Homelands at
Tuscumbia. The day begins at 8:00 AM at Tuscumbia Landing in Sheffield with a blessing ceremony,
and a lunch will be available at the Palace for a special rate. Participants can also enter a raffle for a
chance to win a kayak rental, with more available to rent after the event. This annual walk takes

September 13, 2025 – Live at Champy’s: Lucie Tiger, The Imaginaries, and Max Norton –

September 20, 2025 – Trail of Tears – Highway 72, Tuscumbia. This annual motorcycle ride
pays respectful tribute to the celebrated route once taken by the Cherokee Indians. Included in this
ride are American Indian pow-wows and various activities such as drumming and dancing, vendors
in Waterloo, and many stops all along the Trail of Tears. This is held each year on the 3rd Saturday

September 20, 2025 – Alabama State Duck Calling Contest – Tuscumbia Depot and
Roundhouse, 204 W. 5th St., Tuscumbia. Join us for the 2025 Alabama State Duck Calling
Contest and the Heart of Dixie Regional on Saturday, September 20th, 2025. This event, held at the
