Dale Clark Lang, 77, of Fort Payne, passed away Saturday, August 16, 2025. She was born in Fort Payne, Alabama, on March 22, 1948, to the late William McKinley Clark and Josie Mozelle Hilyer Clark. She was a 1966 graduate of Fort Payne High School. She then attended Auburn University where she received her Bachelor’s in Education in 1970. She received her Master’s degree from the University of Alabama. She began her career as a social worker in DeKalb County for ten years before beginning to teach in Fort Payne City Schools, where she taught for over 30 years before retiring. She then continued to both teach part-time and tutor, as well as work at the Recreation Center in her spare time. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be 4 p.m. Wednesday at Wilson Funeral Home with Dr. Marshall Henderson and Dr. Pat McFadden officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the 4 p.m. hour of service. She is survived by her husband of 53 years Bill Lang; son Chad Lang and wife Monica; grandchildren Evangeline and Calvin; sister Cheryl Lawrence and husband John; beloved nephew Ben Lawrence and wife Kara; and nieces Caroline Lang and Alexandra Lang.
