Funeral service for Randall “Randy” David Templeton, age 64, will be held Saturday, August 16, 2025 at 2:00 PM at Parkview Baptist Church. Bro. Stoney Jackson will be officiating and Shelton Funeral Home directing. Visitation will be from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the church prior to the service. Burial will be at Decatur City Cemetery.
He was born April 25, 1961 to James Franklin Templeton and Doris Sue Russell Templeton in Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Molly Templeton; daughter, Wendy Templeton Rohweder (Matt); son, Eston Templeton (Brittney); grandchildren, Tucker Templeton, Hunter Templeton, Molly Rohweder, Charlotte Rohweder; siblings, Mike Templeton, Cindy Morgan (Mike); host of nieces and nephews.
He was a member of Parkview Baptist Church for 25 years and ran the sound booth. He worked at Saputo Milk Plant for 25 years. He also drove a bus for Decatur City Schools for 6 years. He loved to work with his flowers, woodworking, and concrete work.
Pallbearers will be Brian Smotherman, Will Smotherman, Matt Rohweder, Mike Bair, Mark McLemore, John Miller, Tony Young, and Ronnie Mathews.
