Betty Ann Wright Stults, age 80, of Russellville, AL, departed this life on August 12, 2025, at Helen Keller Hospital. Betty was born in Florence Alabama, November 30, 1944.
Betty retired from Distinctive Designs and worked many years at Russellville Flower Craft. A member of Russellville First Methodist Church. For over 20 years, she lovingly cared for children while working in the nursery at Russellville Methodist Church and babysitting for families for many years during her life. She also served her community by ironing for many families. The past seven years, she has had the joy of sitting with and caring for one of her lifelong friends.
She is survived by her children: son Carter Stults (fiancé Kelly Rydeen), and daughter Ponda (Elliott) Gordon; grandchildren Will (Amanda) Stults, Catlin (Leslie) Stults, Madeline Guyott, Katelynn (Coleman) Thompson, and Charlie Gordon; great-grandchildren Dalton Stults, Nolen Stults, Easton Stults, Lilly Stults, Ila Kate Thompson, Chapel Stults, Hattie Stults, and Joel Elliott Thompson; two sisters, Helen Stutts and Kathy (Mark) Russell; four nieces; one great-nephew; and a very special friend, Barbara Stults.
She was preceded in death by her father, Alvin Wright; mother, Loren Wright; stepmother, Gert Wright; brothers, Billy Wright and Carl Wright; and the father of her children, Sammy Stults and 1 nephew.
Visitation will be held Thursday, August 14, at 10:00 a.m. at First Methodist Church, Russellville with A Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 a.m. Bro. Bo Lloyd and Bro. Bill Martin officiating.
