Elizabeth Cooper Thomas-Holder, age 98, of Lewisburg, Tennessee, passed away Thursday, August 7, 2025, at NHC Oakwood.
She was born May 25, 1927, in Woodbury, Tennessee, to the late Hudson Cooper and Clara Bell Tedder Shaffer. Elizabeth loved being a registered nurse and working for Taylor Clinic and Marshall Medical Center. She enjoyed working in her flowers and always had a beautiful yard and flower garden. She also enjoyed sewing and writing songs and poems which were often published in Reader’s Digest. Elizabeth had a long, beautiful life with many children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren who will miss her greatly.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two husbands, Neal Thomas and Allen Holder; two daughters, Brenda Kay Allen and Debbie Paulette Thomas; granddaughter Heather Haley and grandson Jeff Smith.
She is survived by five daughters, Shirley Whaley (Jessie) of Lewisburg, Nancy Hamilton (Charles) of Tullahoma, Vickie Williams (Jerry) of Mooresville, Suzan White of Lewisburg, and Janey Wilburn (Wendell) of Pulaski; one son, Ronnie Thomas (Janice) of Columbia; sister, Alta Sue Bryant of Auburntown, TN; thirteen grandchildren, thirty-four great grandchildren, forty-two great great grandchildren.
Visitation with the family will be held at London Funeral Home and Crematory, 324 W. Church St., Lewisburg, TN, on Saturday, August 9, 2025, from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm.
Funeral Service will be conducted on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at 12:00 pm from the Chapel of London Funeral Home and Crematory with burial to follow in Lone Oak Cemetery.
