Funeral service for Christy Couey Clark, 53, will be Monday, August 4, 2025, at 11:00 AM, at Shiloh Baptist Church, with Bro. Jack Bailey officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. Burial will be in Shiloh Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday, August 3, 2025, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mrs. Clark died on Thursday, July 31, 2025. She was born September 4, 1971, in Morgan County, to Jerrold Anthony Couey and Vicky Lynn Roberts Couey.
Christy was married to her husband, Mark, for 34 years and was a beloved wife, Momma and Granna. She loved her three grandbabies with all of her heart. She was a graduate of A.P. Brewer High School, Class of 1989, and went on to receive her Bachelor’s of Science in Education from Athens State University and then her Master’s of Education from Alabama A & M University. Christy taught for 2 1/2 years at Randolph High School and was at A.P. Brewer High School for 29 years as a Math teacher, prior to her passing.
She was a member of Grace Point Baptist Church. Her favorite past-times were spending time with her family and her animals, watching hummingbirds, and playing Rook.
Her father preceded her in death.

Husband – Mark Allen Clark,
Daughters- Sarah Hanson (Blake) and
Hannah Clark,
Mother – Vicky Lynn Roberts Couey,
Brother – Blake Couey,
Grandchildren – Harleigh, Baylor, and Brooks Hanson,
Pallbearers are her nephews – Blaine Clark, Bennett Clark, Brad Clark, Jarrod Clark, Cooper Clark and Aubrey Richardson.
In lieu of flowers, family requests memorials be made to the Hospice Family Care of Huntsville or to the American Cancer Society.
