Esther Jane Ledbetter, 79, passed away Monday, July 21, 2025 at her residence. She was a proud resident of Vina, AL, “the best place on earth.” She was a graduate of Vina High School, worked for Wrangler for twenty years and was a caregiver for her family. She was a Paw mother. She planted daffodils and buttercups for people to enjoy in the spring. She prayed humming gospel song and was an avid television viewer of Sunday services.
Graveside services will be Saturday, July 26, 10 a.m. at Old Burleson Cemetery, Vina, AL with Alton Hester officiating. Burial will be in Old Burleson Cemetery, Vina, AL. Deaton Funeral Home, Red Bay, AL will be in charge of arrangements.
She is survived by her niece and caregiver, Margaret Ann Guerra, Vina, AL; nephews, Richard Guerra (Tammy) Poulsbo, WA, Greg Hudson (Pam) Garden City, AL and Jeff Hudson (Desiree) Hanceville, AL; great-nephew, Ethan Guerra, Poulsho, WA; brother-in-law, Lesley Hudson, Garden City, AL and other family members.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Miles Thurston Ledbetter and Pearlie Irene Ledbetter; five sisters, Icie Dewdrop Stanphill, Darlene Ledbetter, Nancy Hudson, Thelma Guerra and Sarah Ann Ledbetter and one brother, William Franklin Ledbetter.
