A Graveside Service for Jerrell Dale Thompson, age 81, will be held Friday, July 18, 2025 at Burningtree Memorial Gardens at 2:00PM with Shelton Funeral Home Directing.
He was born April 23, 1944, in Decatur, Alabama to Winifred Alexander Thompson and Sybil Terry Thompson. He passed away July 16, 2025 at Hospice Family Care in Huntsville, Alabama.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Linda Thompson; his children, Kimberely Thompson and Melinda Thompson Mumpower (Jeff); grandchildren, Noah Z. Thompson (Anya) and Elizabeth Grace Thompson; great granddaughter, Eliana Grace Thompson; brothers, Nolan D. Thompson (Joyce) and Daren R. Thompson.
He loved Alabama Football and could do almost anything with his hands.
