Mrs. Cheryl Annette “Chell” Savage Goodwin was born December 9, 1963, in Lauderdale County, Florence, Alabama, to Wilda Thompson and the late Ezell Cole.
She confessed Christ at an early age at the St. Mark Missionary Baptist Church in Florence, Alabama.
She was a graduate of Coffee High School in 1982. She loved her classmates and loved hanging out with them.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Alonso Goodwin; her father, Ezell Cole; brother, Alexander Barnett; sister, Janice Langham; grandson, Braylon Savage; and grandmother, Mary Alice Taylor.
She leaves to cherish her memories:
two sons, Dave Savage of Florence, AL and Ronnie Vaughn of Sheffield, AL; her bonus daughters, Laviese (Ellis) Southward and LaDava Goode of Florence, AL; mother, Wilda Thompson of Florence, AL; one brother, Milton Cole of Florence, AL; sisters, Pamela Wright, Ingrid (William) Barnett, Elaine (Victor) Barnett, Janella Thompson, all of Florence, AL, Anita Hodges of Newark, NJ, Jennifer (Bruce) Noblitt of Huntsville, AL; grandchildren, Maci Savage of Atlanta, GA, Navy Farris, Emeri Savage, Ala Stewart Ellis, Kruz, Evan Southward, all of Florence, AL; special friend, Stacy Barney; and a host of aunts, uncles, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
