Donald William Bedilion, 79 of Horton, Alabama passed away July 8, 2025 in his home with his family by his side.
He was originally from Graysville, Pa., moved to Alabama in June 2011. Born March 12, 1946 in Nineveh, Pa. and the son of late Donald and Lucille Dorsey Bedilion.
Donald graduated from West Greene High School in 1965 where he was a member of the FFA and wrestling team. He was a member of the NRA and enjoyed hunting. On June 4, 1967 he married Barbara Inghram and happily married for 58 years. He was employed as a supervisor for Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and in 1986 retired from 110 Infantry Army National Guard Co. C 2nd Bn. of Waynesburg, Pa. He then went to work part time at Lone Pine Construction, building covered bridges. He was a 50-year member of the Free and Accepted Masons of Waynesburg, Pa. Lodge No. 153. Also, a member of the American Legion of Waynesburg, Pa.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Diane (John) Whipkey of Blacksville, W. Va, three grandchildren; Heather (Gennaro) Bonaventura, Morgantown, W. Va., Cody (Katlyn) Whipkey of Wadestown, W. Va. and Donald Woody Bedilion (Jaiden Camper) of Horton, Alabama, four great-grandchildren; Bailey and Kayce Whipkey, Colt Bonaventura and Stetson Bedilion. He is also survived a brother; Carl (Anne) Bedilion of Graysville, Pa., five sisters; Pearl (George) McKinley of Az., Wilma (Roger) Nelson of Holbrook, Pa., Patty (Jerry) Johnston of Berlin Center, Ohio, Thelma (David) Szarell of Graysville, Pa. and Judy (Clark) Moninger of Sycamore, Pa.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son; Donald Lester Bedilion.
He was under the care of ProHealth Hospice Care.
The family will have a memorial service at a later date under the care of Kesterson-Rush Funeral Home in Rogersville, Pa.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Albertville Memorial Chapel.
